TERMS & CONDITIONS:
We are www.shortlet-london.com – “The Company”.
You are – “The Client”.
The Company and The Client agree to follow the Terms & Conditions below. Payment of the booking deposit by The Client is deemed acceptance of the Terms & Conditions by The Client listed below.
1. ENQUIRY & BOOKING:
1.1. Booking enquiries can be made online by visiting our website or over the phone.
1.2. Booking quote (availability, rates etc) is valid at the time it is provided.
1.3. Booking is only firmly reserved upon receipt of a booking reservation deposit.
1.4. Booking confirmation with full reservation details will be emailed to The Client within 24 hrs of the booking deposit being received.
2. DEPOSIT:
2.1. Booking deposit is payable at the time of booking and prior to occupation of flats.
2.2. Booking deposit is payable by credit/debit card via Google Checkout® in sterling or any other approved or pre-arranged bank transfer payment.
2.3. Booking deposit will be held as a security deposit against damage, which may occur to the property, during The Client’s stay at the property.
2.4. Booking/security deposit is fully refundable, provided that no damage has been done to the property.
2.5. Booking/security deposit will be refunded the same way as it has been paid.
2.6. Booking/security deposit will be refunded within 7 working days after the end of the stay.
2.7. Deposit is non-refundable if the booking is cancelled or not taken-up.
3. CHECK-IN/OUT TIME:
3.1. Standard check-in time is 2pm-8pm.
3.2. Check in/out dates are stated in the booking confirmation.
3.3. Check-out time is before 11am.
3.4. Late check-out after 11am and up to 2pm is possible for an additional fee of GBP20.00. This needs to be agreed in advance before the final day of departure and is subject to availability.
3.5. Check-out after 2pm is possible for an additional fee of one extra night. This needs to be agreed in advance before the final day of departure and is subject to availability.
3.6. Night time check-in (8pm-8am) is possible for an additional fee of GBP20.00.
3.7. The Client may extend their stay at any time. The Company should be contacted in advance to confirm the extension but this is subject to availability.
4. RENTAL PAYMENT:
4.1. The rental payment should be made in full upon arrival, unless previously agreed otherwise. The client will be charged GBP20.00 for each additional visit by our representative in order to settle the "check-in" payment.
4.2. Total rent can be paid in cash, bank transfer, credit/debit card (pre-arrangement ONLY, 4% surcharge) or personal cheque (must be cleared before time of check-in).
4.3. At the time of check-in, rent can only be paid in cash or bank transfer.
4.4. The rent paid/calculated will not be refunded/reduced if The Client decides to check-in later or check-out earlier than the date/s originally booked.
4.5. The Company reserves the right to refuse to check–in The Client and cancel the reservation without refund of deposit, if full "check-in" payment is not completed at the time of check-in.
4.6. By paying the "check-in" rent on arrival, The Client acknowledges and agrees that the accommodation is in an acceptable condition.
5. CHARGES:
5.1. In case of any damage to the property, caused by The Client a call out service to fix and/or replace the broken item/s will incur a GBP20.00 fee.
5.2. In case of lost or damaged keys, or The Client being locked out of the property, a call out service charge will apply - GBP25.00 (9am-6pm, Mon-Fri) or GBP60.00 (6pm-9am, Mon-Fri, all weekend and public holidays) - as well as a taxi fare (where applicable). These charges must be paid immediately.
5.3. Depending on the type of keys, replacement of lost/damaged keys will be charged GBP5.00-GBP60.00 per set.
5.4. If The Client does not return the keys when vacating the property, the security deposit will not be refunded.
5.5. Should any property damage or technical problems occur during the stay they must be immediately reported to The Company. Failing to do so may lead to an increased penalty fee (at the discretion of The Company).
5.6. The Client will be charged "changing date" fees:
5.6.1 More than 14 days prior to check-in date - GBP25.00;
5.6.2 Less than 14 days prior to check-in date - GBP50.00;
5.6.3 On day of arrival - GBP60.00-GBP100.00 (at the discretion of The Company).
6. ADDITIONAL SERVICES:
6.1. The Company provides additional services only at The Client’s request.
6.2. Wi-Fi service (where available) - GBP1.00 per day. Must be taken for the whole of the remaining stay.
6.3. Bed linen change (additional set) - GBP10.00.
6.4. Cleaning service (per visit) - GBP20.00 (includes bed linen change).
6.5. Iron & ironing board (one off payment) - GBP5.00.
6.6. Additional set of keys (per set) - GBP5.00.
6.7. Airport pick-up/drop-off service: Heathrow - GBP55.00; Luton - GBP60.00; Stansted - GBP65.00; Gatwick - GBP85.00. This is for a standard car, 1-4 people, maximum 1-3 suitcases.
7. DURING THE STAY:
7.1. Only those people listed on the rental agreement are allowed to stay at the premises. The Client agrees there will be no overnight guests in the accommodation for any extended period of time (1 night or more) without prior approval of The Company.
7.2. Subletting the accommodation for any purpose is strictly prohibited. Illegal activities will be immediately reported to the Local Police Department and The Client will be evicted.
7.2. The Company provides standard fixtures and fittings in the accommodation. Additional items as described above in section 6 (Additional Services) can be provided as noted.
7.3. The Client should keep the unit and its surrounding area clean and tidy.
7.4. The Client should clean away all rubbish before departure.
7.5. The Client must not wash the bed linen and towels upon departure.
7.6. All properties are no-smoking. If there is evidence of smoking in the accommodation, the security deposit will not be refunded.
7.7. The Client must not open post/mail unless it is addressed to The Client. Other mail should be left in designated area.
7.8. The Client must not make any changes, improvements or repairs to the property or furniture without authorization by The Company.
7.9. The Company reserves the right to restrict or eliminate access to the property by The Client’s guests who have violated any of the rules above or any of these Terms & Conditions. In some cases, The Company may run an additional investigation, leading to withholding of the security deposit until the investigation is completed.
8. CANCELLATION AND CHANGES:
8.1. The booking deposit is non-refundable if the booking is cancelled by The Client.
8.2. The booking deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled by The Company. The Company reserves the right to cancel The Client’s booking in the event of unexpected circumstances (such as emergency maintenance work, technical problem/s, sale of property etc.).
8.3. The Client will be charged "changing date" fees:
8.3.1 More than 14 days prior to check-in date - GBP25.00;
8.3.2 Less than 14 days prior to check-in date - GBP50.00;
8.3.3 On day of arrival - GBP60.00-GBP100.00 (at the discretion of The Company).
9. GOVERNING LAW:
9.1. The Company will not be held responsible for any financial loss, damage to the belongings, or any injuries sustained by The Client and/or guests of The Client.
9.2. According to UK Law we can remove your belongings with or without your presence in the case of non-payment of rent or failing to check-out on the agreed time and date.
10. COPYRIGHT:
10.1. All information (including pictures, descriptions, services etc.) used on this website remain the property of The Company and require The Company’s written permission to be repeated/used elsewhere. The Client or other persons have no right to use and/or manipulate the information. This includes, although is not limited to, the publication of this material on other websites, in catalogues, within the property itself or any other channel or location not listed here. Any infringement of this clause will be subject to the international copyright laws of Property Rights.
10.2. Taking and publishing photographs of the accommodation is prohibited without The Company’s written approval.
10.3. The Company reserves the right to change the Terms & Conditions listed above without prior notice.
